Summer in Austria has offered us a lot of variety in terms of weather. From sun to rain and storms to heavy thunderstorms and hail, everything has been there. Can autumn bring back a little stability in this respect?
This year, the beginning of autumn falls on September 23. The penultimate season will be mostly dry, though subject to change, according to the 100-year calendar. Still, it’s worth taking a look at more current forecasts.
Warm October
After an above-average warm September with temperatures of over 30 degrees in some places, changeable weather is expected at the beginning of the month if one refers to the information provided by the website wetter.at.
Only towards the middle of the month should it become warmer and drier; the American weather model forecasts a tendency to even too dry in October.
Rainy November
However, the sunny weather should be mostly over by the start of November. Wetter.at predicts quite a bit of rain for the year’s penultimate month, which could also turn into snow towards the end.
In addition, it should remain above average warm with temperatures of 12 degrees, as it is further said. If the forecasts are to be believed, this year’s autumn will also be characterized by one or two extremes. How the weather will develop, however, remains to be seen.
